I'm a maker at heart — a photographer, a designer, someone happiest with a project in her hands. That's where Rejecting Retail Studio comes from: handmade earrings and leather goods, custom banners and signage, and pieces made to mark a moment.

By day, I've been a school leader for over twenty years — which is its own kind of creative work, building the budgets, systems, and operations that let a school do right by its kids. The two worlds overlap more than you'd expect: some of my studio's biggest clients are New York City DOE schools, who trust me with the banners and signs that show up at their proudest moments — in part because I've spent two decades on their side of the table.
